A gigantic inflated pig sat on the roof of a building that overlooked the arena in which the pigs raced. Thus the All Alaska Racing Pigs could be found from anywhere on the fairgrounds.

The crowd of folks waiting for the race to begin appeared excited (at least in part) for the race to begin. The crowd may have doubled for the actual race.

The race announcer described what was about to happen well before it happened. Fortunately his presentation was sufficiently humorous to hold our attention.

A walking slice of pizza wandered past the race and paused to watch for a brief while. And then the walking slice of pizza continued on his (or her) way.

The start of the race was preceded by the announcer talking longer than expected. The race itself lasted only a few seconds once it started.

The second race started when the gates were flung open and the pigs charged out, headed for the first of two hurdles.

The pigs leaped over the hurdles with grace and speed.

As the crowd watched with excitement, the pigs raced down the last leg toward the finish line.

There were two races which selected two winners from each. Those four winners faced off in this, the last race, to determine the ultimate fastest pig.
