![]() A daisy that grows to only about 1 foot (30 cm.) in height at most. It grows in the rocky soil that is found along the coastlines of California and Oregon. This plant is a perennial, which means that it grows back from root-stock each year, rather than from seeding.

![]() The leaves are concave and slightly pointed. There are no thorns. The surface of the leaves felt smooth.

![]() The fully formed flower had horizontal petals just like the classic daisy. Note that the stem continued to grow under the flower, elevating it for better exposure to insects.
