A sign posted on the base of the sculpture read:

The sculpture was on a bulge in the sidewalk and was surround on both sides by trees. Here you can see all four items of the totem, the fish on top, the world, the critter, and the automobile.

The sculpture had a cartoon feel with the shape and detailing of the car and the feet of the critter.

Here the critter supported the world using only its ears.

The entire sculpture could be easily viewed from across the street.
