A hole was opened up in the metal covering above the street so that hydraulic lifts could be installed. Notice that, because buses no longer ran beside the terminal, the traffic light for those buses was disabled.

Yellow Lifts
A set of four yellow hydraulic lifts were installed along the center of the street. The were needed to support the structure after a crack was found in one of the major horizontal i-beams.

More Jacks
More jacks held up the horizontal i-beam of the next street over. This was a precaution, anticipating the same stresses over both streets would crack this other beam too.

Another Horizontal I-Beam
A second horizontal i-beam was supported over a second street. Notice how the metal of this i-beam had been polished smooth so that it could be easily inspected.

Almost Art
The short hydraulic lifts formed a lovely counterpoint to the "Do Not Enter" sign. Almost an accidental work of art.
