This classic garden was located behind the Museum Of Living Arts just off of El Prado Street. It was last restored 1962 by the San Diego Rotary Club.

Classic arches formed the entry from a parking lot. In the center was a Moorish-style fountain.

A shady pergola lay at one end. Note the formal urns. Also note that although weddings are allowed, receptions are not allowed. Too bad because a pergola would be a great place to hang out.

Just inside the arches that led to the parking lot hung large pendulous flowers.

Despite the formality of this garden and the other exhibits in Balboa Park, all the place signs were very ordinary, just like this one.
