A side road was paved with dirt. At the end of this cul-de-sac, two children played in a yard.

The Flor de Angel Restaurante Disco Bar was on the side of a road leading uphill away from the ferry terminal.

A huge sign over the road announced the arrival at the ferry landing and terminal area. The sign faced the other way. Here the camera looked away from the ferry dock.

This beautiful fountain of Ometepe was rehabilitated by the Ministry of Tourism, thanks all the generous support of Shell Nicaragua and reopened in January 1998.

A kid sat on the edge of the exhibit of the lake surrounding the island of Ometepe. Beyond him was the actual lake surrounding the actual island upon which this exhibit was built.

A privately held bus was parked at the edge of a side road. The rack on top was intended to store luggage.

A new hotel was still under construction. It would be located very near the ferry terminal. Notice how part of the pier outside it had already collapsed.
