Redwood City Station had a low clock tower next to the old train station.

Gates (descending arms not shown) would lower to prevent pedestrians from crossing when a train was approaching or present.

The Sequoia Station shopping center was directly behind the Caltrain station on the western side of the tracks.

Directly behind the east side of the station was a parking area that included pedestrian drop-off/pick-up and taxi areas.

A short staircase with just two steps led up from the parking area to the platform. Unseen to the right was a ramp for the elderly and disabled.

The Samtrans Bus Terminal was located on the western side of the station.

Redwood City's motto was, "Climate Best By Government Test." This sign was erected over Broadway.

A small, unnamed park (or grassy area) was located just behind the eastern side of the Station platform.

Behind the Samtrans bus area was a parking zone set aside for a half dozen disability parking spaces. All the spaces were vacant that noontime.
