2018 Monster, A Raised Garden, As A Collection Of Plants, Eugene, Oregon
|
Former Lawn
A small, weed infested lawn was replaced by a stone raised flower bed surrounded by a flagstone path. 2018 was the first year this stone monster was planted with flowers and greenery. The flowers began small but promised to grow taller and wider and eventually to overflow the walls.

A Platform
A platform in the upper front of the raised monster was supported underneath by cinder blocks. Eventually either a large stone, or a statue, or a potted plant will occupy this platform. Eventually the pink creeping flowers will occupy the entire space around the platform.
