Boat From Overhead
The boat seen from overhead after a good hike up over the shore. Note two boxes on top. The smaller one was a swamp cooler, the lager one was a kid sized padded room.

Walkway On Side Was Narrow
The walkway on the side of the houseboat was barely wide enough to walk. Here we looked from the back of the boat toward the front.

Water Slide And Ladder
The bottom of the water slide at the back of the boat. Next to it was a ladder that could fold down into the water to make reentry to the houseboat easier.

Front Deck Of The Boat
The front deck of the boat was equipped with a hose, a mop, and a broom. Also on the front deck (and not shown) was a barbecue. The hose turned out to be really handy because of all the mud on shoes caused by the muddy shoreline.

The Kitchen
The houseboat had a full kitchen. Two refrigerator/freezers (not shown to the left) a microwave, stove-top, oven, toaster, coffee maker, and blender. Also the cabinets were well stocked with dishes, cups, glasses, cookware, and silverware. The only caveat was that the generator had to be running to use the electric appliances.

The Driver's Station
The driving station at the head of the boat. The throttle to the right was in the neutral position. The radio to the left also had an input plug for audio devices such as laptops and ipods. The key was in the ignition because we were getting ready to untie the boat and cast off.

The Boat Back At Dock
The is what our houseboat looked like just after it was returned to dock. The bin was used to haul away trash. Barely visible to the right of this photo was the gas pump used to refill the fuel tank on the boat. Notice the circular staircase at the back of the boat leading to the upper deck.
