Marino Marini "Bronze Horse" 1967
The sculpture entitled "Bronze Horse" was on display in a small nook on the Clay Street side of the park. Notice the steps around the edge that provided comfortable seating for lunch and general relaxation. Artist signature on horse's rump
It is not always easy to spot the artist's signature on a sculpture. Here the signature was found almost scratched into the horse's rump. Detail of the front left side
The statue is mostly smooth but for a few small patches such as this place on the left side of the horse. It is unclear from this one example if this is a common technique for this artist.
