This sculpture is on your left when entering the park from Embarcadero Two internal link. It is on a platform surrounded by plants, so it is not possible to walk right up to it.

The sign describing this sculpture was found around on the back side of its stand. To find it, you must walk around on lawn and push a branch away. The sign reads:

Collection of Fine Art

Commissioned by
Golden Gateway Building Company
And Dedicated To
The City of San Francisco - 1968

The sculpture viewed from its north. The Embarcadero Two center is visible behind it. Note the street light to the right that illuminates a street two stories below.

This closer view from the west illustrates its sheet-metal and rivet form of construction. The material appeared to be aluminum.

Viewed from the south west, the sculpture almost appears to soar.
