The Paint Can Dome
The controversial dome that some called a paint can when the building was first erected in 1936. Atop the paint can stood the Oregon Pioneer statue by Ulric Ellerhusen .

Walk Of The Flags
A small sign identified the: Walk Of The Flags The Oregon State Capitol Foundation was founded in 1997 and ordered to "create a living history, enhance the dignity and beauty of the Capitol, and foster cultural and educational opportunities." This Walk of Flags was its first project.

Liberty Bell Reproduction
A small sign identified this bell as: Dedicated to you, a free citizen in a free land This reproduction of the Liberty Bell was presented to the people of Oregon by direction of the Honorable John W. Snyder Secretary of the Treasury

Fish Over Door
Three fish were embossed over the entry door to the capitol building. This entry was closed with a sign pointing to the side entrance which could also accommodate the disabled.
