Seward, Mini-Park, San Francisco
|
The park was atop a path called Acme Alley
To access the park, take the L, M, or K light rail line to the Castro Station. Walk downhill two blocks along Castro to 19th Street. Turn right on 19th Street at Buffalo Whole Food & Grain Co. Proceed uphill about four blocks to Douglass Street. Turn left and walk two short blocks to Seward Street. Turn right onto Seward. The park is just up the short hill and on your left. Closed Sunset to Sunrise with assorted other rules
Note the usual green paddle of rules almost ready to swat the first offender. Also note the pink floral buds of a tree returning to spring. Cardboard was dried after the recent rains
Most of the people sliding used cardboard. One young lad used just his pants. Nothing hi-tech, such as waxed paper, was in evidence that day.
