Wait For Tram
A tram ran through the park connecting various sites within it to each other. Here, a sign indicated that the tram would run once every 15 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes with no sign of a tram, we decided to walk.

Picnic Area
We walked by one of several picnic areas. Here, mushroom-like tables sprouted inside circular concrete seats. The picnic area was shaded by mature trees.

Huge Playground
A spaciously wide playground featured fake animals upon which to play. Notice the sunken hippo mid scene, and the dinosaur in the foreground.

Shade At Edge Of Wide Lawns
The shade of mature trees surrounded wide lawns on gently rolling hills. The park was a mixture of undeveloped open space, grassed play areas, formal gardens, and museums.

Pepper Canyon
Pepper canyon divided the park down its middle. If you were to follow this canyon around you would end up in the Palm Canyon and Palm Canyon Trail with its many species of palm on exhibit.

Paved Paths
Paved trails led from one exhibit area to another. Although many, such as this one, were set back from moderately busy streets, most were mere sidewalks.
