A Typical Road In Town
Here was one typical road in the town of León, Nicaragua. The buildings were constructed right up against each other, but inside (unseen from the road) was usually a home build around an open air garden.

The Town Seen From El Fortin
A fine view of the city of León, Nicaragua was beheld from high upon a hill. An old fort, called El Fortin , was built by the Samosa Garcia Family and used until the 1970's to imprison and torture rebels. Today it serves as an historic object lesson and a place where tourists can take fantastic, aerial shots of the town.

An Historic Road Next To Bacílica Catedral de La Asunción
This historic road next to Bacílica Catedral de La Asunción was used in 1979. On June 20th of that year, an Aracely armored vehicle advanced up this road toward where we took this picture, while behind the armor, fighters followed ready for the assault on the 21st Command León, Nicaragua.

Car Horns Were An Ignored Problem
This sign, on the street leading down to the Museum Of The Revolution, was to warn cars to not sound their horns. Although we saw several signs like this, horns continued to be honked, mostly by taxis.

Two Men In Shade Discussed A Motorcycle
Two men in the shade alongside a road leading out of León discussed a motorcycle, perhaps its upkeep, or mileage, or perhaps not that at all, but instead the weather or the price of groceries.
