Nicaragua Tires, Discarded As Trash
|
Jungle Parade Of Tires
One of the more surprising items of trash seen along the Rio Chiquito located outside León, Nicaragua, was this parade of discarded tires. It almost appeared as if someone on shore was discarding tires in a line and then pushing the line toward, and into, the water.

Tires As A Tree Planter
Years earlier, two tires at this rest stop alongside the road in Nicaragua, had been stacked to provide protection for a newly planted sapling. Over time the sapling grew into a mature shade tree, thereby forever trapping those tires.
