Monster Ornaments
Every Christmas, the folks who manage the 101 California building set these huge (over six feet or two meters tall) ornaments in the plaza. They were all built using fiberglass and this one in the foreground wouldn't roll because it had a flat base.

Blue Ornament
A blue ornament hung from a tree in a store window near Union Square. It was decorated with a fake star to lend it a fake religious glow. The chrome ball next to it reflected the street outside the window.

Huge Ornament
A huge ornament almost the size of a basketball hung from the crook of a tree on the sidewalk of the Rockridge area of Oakland. The street could be seen reflected in that ornament including parked cars and a distant sun.

Union Square Tree
A red ball ornament hung from a Christmas tree it the middle of Union Square in downtown San Francisco. Reflected in it was the fence surrounding the tree. Lights were lit that day, despite the sun shining brightly.

Fallen Ornament
A blue ornament had blown from a crudely decorated tree south of Market. Or perhaps it, like the leaf, had merely fallen.

In The Rain
The Spanish Village inside Balboa Park was deserted that Sunday noon because of a light but chilly rain. Toward the back among the closed shops was a tree decorated with tiny lights and one old Christmas ornament.
