Murals and graffiti covered the wall of Oak Alley between West 11th Avenue and West 10th Avenue. The painted walls started behind a small garden with green plants.

An orange tentacle and spiked eye monster grew plant-like behind an evil looking fairy with his belly exposed.

A fairy stood in a patch of mushrooms and reached out to touch one. Behind the fairy a crashing spectacle of words crowded together. And low clouds with lightening were above.

A word grew behind growing eyes on stalks and mushrooms. That word sprouted a half flower. Above the word, graffiti words and letters defaced clouds with lightening.

A red outline, with peach interior, abstract word floated against a mostly blue background.

A long, and self important face said, "People's Art."

The wall of murals was signed by the "Lane Arts Council.."

A caricature of the artist had his arms crossed and frowned. A pencil and a paint brush were jammed up is nose. A wide tipped marker and a can of spray paint were stuck in his ears. The artist wore a strange looking hat.

The end of the alley was decorated with an abstract word on top of which a graffiti word had been written. The alley ended with the signature, "Lane Arts Council • 2000."
