Afternoon's secret and its telling
Before the twilight and dreaming
After midnight and the full moon

San Francisco

"Frisco," said he, with a crooked smile.
"Frisco," said he, with a rude sneer.
"Frisco," said he, with a dare in his voice.
"Okay San Francisco," said he, through broken teeth. © 2009 Bryan Costales #20090102_SanFranciscoByBryanCostales Add a comment or report a mistake

Shine

School, for a time, was hate-filled
Summers, oh back then, was a crush
Marriage, ah mid-life, was love
Children, pfew, way too many, were adored
Grandkids, wow, amazingly young, rebuffed love
Coffin, alas too late, is pride

No Matter

No matter how loud the band
No matter how lame the movie
No matter how ill-written the novel
No matter how inattentive the child
No matter how poorly maintained the road
No matter at all
