Marin County, Along Highway 1

A leisurely curve
Highway one ran at a placid 25 mph (40 kph) through the beautiful Point Reyes National Seashore. Because of the slow traffic, this area was a favorite and scenic bicycle route.

Over fog swept hills
Highway one just north of Stinson Beach ran up over coastal hills that formed cliffs at the ocean's edge (off screen to the left).

Eucalyptus Grove
Patches of the roadway in lower Marin County were bordered by imported eucalyptus tree groves.
