 Another large plaque commemorated the 25th Anniversary of the bridge's completion. From May 27, 1937 to May 27, 1962. Next to the lower right of the plaque a tiny graffiti read, "Spire strikes again."

 A little known fact: The first tower (nearest San Francisco) was dedicated as "The PG&E Tower" because of PG&E's gift of lights to the bridge for its 50th Anniversary.
