A small plant
This small example of the shrub shows that even when young it still produces many flowers. Shown here were all stages of the flower, from full attractor of birds for fertilization, to the nut for release of the seeds. The seeds are carried away by ants and stored underground so that the plant can replace itself following fire . A flower head began
A flower head began to grow at the end of a branch. The individual red teeth of each leaf were clear. The individual flowers that formed the head could first be discerned.
