Pink Foxglove
Small pink flowers shaped like bells, called foxglove, lined the path along the lower part of the trail.

Tiny Red Bitter Cherries
Tiny red berries, called bitter cherry, grew on a tree alongside the trail. They were no more than an eighth inch (20 mm) in diameter and generally high and out of reach. They are not edible and are very bitter.

Delicate White Poppy
Delicate white wild-flower form of poppy with petals that appeared to be paper. The flowers were evident in all stages of their life, from buds to flower to dried mass of spent pistils.

Small Foxgloves Up Close
The earlier small pink foxglove flowers were also evident higher on the trail. Here they were near the trail and so were easier to photograph close up.
