A large picnic area was next to a good sized parking lot (off camera left). Here, chairs and a tent had been set up but nobody was around to use them.

The swim area was just a short walk down a paved road.

The snack bar was closed during the off season. Notice the presence of an old fashioned pay phone with an actual phone book hung under it.

The swim area was closed. But when open, a fee was charged for entry. Children under 1 were free. Kids 1 to 15 years old, the disable and seniors over 62 years old were charged U.S. $2.50. Everyone else (ages 16 to 61) was charged U.S. $3.50.

The limits of the swim area were marked with floats. During the rainy season, as when this shot was taken, the water level was unusually high.

Beyond the swim area were quite a few hiking trails. Here one went up hill, while the other paralleled the lake.

The forest surrounding Lake Anza was mostly a eucalyptus tree forest.

In the mid afternoon, the wind has just died down and the lake has begun to take on a pastoral look.
