A trail ran around the park and behind the volleyball courts. A tree had fallen next to the trail. Over time it became hollow and a potential home for wildlife.

A tree died sometime in the past. Since then, it became magic and learned to levitate.

Beyond the path lay a forest. A tree behind a bush appeared decidedly unfriendly.

A bridge extended the trail over a small creek. The creek lay placid under dappled sunlight.

The Sunset Bay Amphitheater had many benches. In the center of the benches was a small stand with electrical power. A video projector could be set on the stand to perhaps project a movie at night.

One of the seats on this picnic table had weakened with dry-rot which eventually allowed it to be pulled off.

A sign on the trail just outside the restrooms immortalized an event:

From this point on October 4, 1973
Malcolm Forbes of New York began
the First Transcontinental crossing
of the United States in a hot air
balloon. His unique journey ended
on November 5, 1973, in Chesapeake
Bay near Newport News, Virginia.
