The entrance was festooned with banners and signs. You park in the parking lot right here at the entry drive. The bus shelter to the right was where you caught the shuttle bus to the nature center.

Although admission was free that day, normally admission fees were:

$11.00	Adults (18-64)
$8.00	Seniors (65+)
$8.00	Students (18+ w/ID)
$8.00	Juniors (12-17)
$6.00	Children (4-11)
Free	Children (under 4)

The shuttle bus was a large modern bus with lots of seating. It was scheduled to run once every 15 minutes all day.

A ten minute bus ride dropped one off in front of the Nature Center. On this day it was celebrating National Wildlife Refuge Week.

An exhibit that morning used animal hides to illustrate the problem of poaching endangered animals.

Inside the Nature Center were many educational activities for younger kids.

An aquarium exhibit showed live salmon swimming.

The exhibits inside the Nature Center were of interest for all ages.

Just inside from the front entry was the ticket counter and behind that the gift shop.
