The path to the river was unsigned and began with a stroll behind the resort, over grass, down steps and across a road.

The steps down to the road were old and covered in wet leaves. Despite their old, worn look, they were solid and easy to walk down.

A dirt path bordered the river and provided a relaxing place to walk.

A bench had been installed next to the river and provided a comfortable means to sit and contemplate nature.

Near one end of the bench, a puddle had formed that was connected to the river.

The river in rainy October was high, flooding trees on the far shore.

The path to the east merged with the road and passed a set of stone benches alongside the river.
