2022 Back Corner, A Raised Garden, As A Collection Of Plants, Eugene, Oregon
|
New Back Corner
There was too much clay under the ground in this back corner. Instead of replacing the dirt, we chose to install a new raised garden there. The first step was to transplant one of a large native grass plants from the "Beast" raised garden. The second step was to use wall stones to encircle the new raised garden. The pipe sticking up will supply future irrigation. The dirt filling the inside will be a even mixture of dirt and compost. That mixture will be further mixed with 10-quarter gravel and perlite for good drainage and mild water retention.

The Walls
The walls of the back corner raised garden had been assembled, which implied that the dirt would be next.
