The heart's base was bolted to a round metal plate. That plate was, in turn, bolted to a concrete circle.

A closer view of the "Heart In The Garden" revealed a sunburst external link in its center. The only differences were that the sun was orange, not yellow, and that the flames were black instead of yellow.
