A bench was located part way into the park. Many trees provided shade for the park. In the distance, construction barriers had been set up.

Orange plastic barriers protected plants that were undergoing maintenance (such as pruning and covering with mulch).

Monroe Park also featured two offset picnic tables available for anyone from the neighborhood to enjoy a picnic or a party.

A pile of mulch was protected by three safety uprights. The mulch was intended to perhaps protect the bush behind the orange plastic barrier.

More orange fencing surrounded the plants bordering the park. Perhaps they were in need of mulch or some other aid.
