Two rides on springs were located nearest to the parking lot. Fixed benches allowed parents to watch their kids play.

The top of a trash can, located next to the playground, was decorated with painted hands, a pail and shovel, and a castle.

A sign was located next to the path that ran alongside the playground. The sign read:

Play it Safe!
This play area has been provided for you by the River Road Parks & Recreation District for your enjoyment. Adult supervision is always recommended and is required for children under eight year of age Please respect others, have fund & Play Safely!
wildwood playgrounds

The playground looked spooky on an overcast morning. No children were present that early.

Three slides were available at the playground. One was formed from a curved tube. Another looked like a corkscrew. And the third was a normal flat and straight slide.

Two sets of swings were joined together. The swings for younger children were in the foreground. The swings for older children were beyond.

A tire suspended by a chain created a ride for older children.

A spinning ride was located next to the park path. Beyond that was a rigid hoop for kids to play upon.

Kids were present later that morning. Here the kids walked the wrong direction up a slide.

Four kids bravely swung together on the yellow tire hung by a chain. In the foreground and out of focus was a totem pole.
