A sign was stenciled on the front part of a bench that stood on fake grass. That sign read, "Public Parklet." On top of the bench were three bits of graffiti, one of which was the upside down phrase, "Fuck ICE."

A view of the parklet in context with the surrounding city. Dog Eared Books faced the parklet. And a street sign indicated that the cross street was 20th.

A long red bench, with slats to support the back, paralleled the street. Litter decorated the fake grass below the bench, and a person rode a bicycle past on the street.

Strings of lights were strung over the top of the public parklet. At night, this parklet would be illuminated for safety.

The parklet was wrapped in a metal frame. Reflectors in the street at this near edge of the parklet signaled delivery trucks to avoid striking the parklet when parallel parking. Just beyond the parklet was a combined parking area for scooters and bicycles.
