A sign on the Santa Barbara Fish House , in addition to specifying its name, also said, "Usually Local, Always Fresh."

Divers Den
The sign read, "Divers Den." But that sign was misleading. The dive shop closed and reopened as the "Municipal Winemakers."

Kunin Wines
Another wine shop was called, "Kunin Wines." As described on their website, "Seth Kunin started Kunin Wines in 1998, focusing on Syrah, Zinfandel and Viognier. Over the years he added additional Rhone and Loire Valley varieties such as Grenache, Mourvedre, Rousanne, Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc and, more importantly, his wife and business partner Magan and their daughter Phoebe. Kunin continues to be a family concern, and is governed more by the passions and personalities of the Kunins than those of the critics or marketplace."

The Lark
A sign for "The Lark" restaurant read, "The Lark open for dinner, Tues-Sun at 5:00 PM." As described on their website, "The Lark, named for the sleek overnight Pullman train of the Southern Pacific Railroad that serviced Santa Barbara from 1910 -1968, is a 130 seat full-service restaurant located in the historic Santa Barbara Fish Market building."

The Santa Barbara Wine Collective
"The Santa Barbara Wine Collective," building. As described on the website, "The Santa Barbara Wine Collective is located within the warehouse space originally owned by the Castignola Family, who operated the historic Santa Barbara Fish Market there from the 1920's and was a local landmark."

Art On Awning
There was a row of new businesses in the former Santa Barbara Fish Market. Each had an awning that began as a wall and could be cranked up to become an awning. Here it was cranked down and covered with a splash of art.

A Fence
A short section of fence in the Funk Zone was covered with contributed bits of art. Paintings, cut wood, and cardboard decorated in attractive or unattractive ways.
