Floating docks
The Marina employed wooden floating docks. The marina was part of the Moss Landing Harbor District .

Restrooms
The restrooms nearest the boats were were for boat owners only. Between the restrooms and the water was a large parking lot. To the left of the restrooms was the box for paying to park.

Parking
The parking lot was vast because the only way to get to this marina was to drive, unless you lived in Moss Landing in which case you could walk. There is no public transit in Moss Landing.

Marina Offices
The marina offices were located at the innermost end of the parking lot. Note that the public restrooms were in the small building to the right.

Boat for sale
A few of the boats in the marina were for sale that day. In the center here, was a small day-fishing boat with a pulpit.

Picnic area
Near to the entrance, where Sandholdt Road passed over a bridge, a small picnic area was set up. Because the hour was early and because the day threatened rain, the picnic area was deserted.

Sandholdt Road
Sandholdt Road passed over the estuary at its shallow end. The road connected the private boats on the near side, to the professional and commercial fishing boats and businesses on the other side.

Commercial Boats
Commercial boats can be seen on the left side, across from the private boats on the near side. One exception was the Elkhorn Slough Safari boat in the lower right foreground.

Double Eagle
The Double Eagle was one of the many commercial fishing boats which lined the ocean side of the marina.

A rundown office with a rundown boat was on the ocean side of the marina.

Magnet for birds
A fishing boat next to a fish processing plant in operation was a magnet for gulls and pelicans.
