Stairs As Streets
The hillside was so steep that stairs replaced a road. The stairs running straight up were called, "Barber Street." Part way up, another street took off left. It was called, "Bayview Street."

Split Level Stairs
Stairs leading up to a home on a hill were split level, with a place to rest on the way up.

Alongside Brick Building
A short concrete staircase led to a parking lot. It then continued as a wooden staircase to reach houses up on a hill.
