A Statue On Each Column
Each of the columns that lined the walkway inside was graced with a carved stone statue. Each statue stood inside a portico faćade.

The Central Aisle
A view looking into the cathedral from the front door. Domes above allowed light to filter down softly, and for excess heat to escape.

One Of Several Numbered Paintings Of Christ
The side walls of the cathedral told the story of Christ using a series of paintings. This one was number 9, which told said in Latin (roughly), "Jesus falls the third time." The numbered paintings correspond to the stations of the cross .

The View Out Of A Side Door
Seen outside a side door was another lion sculpture and a bent lamp post and a man on a bicycle riding toward the word, "Danilo."

Candles In A Side Alcove
Candles illuminated one of the places to worship along the back side of the cathedral.

Huge Paintings In A Rear Alcove
Just to one side of the center back of the cathedral were huge paintings surrounding an alcove.

Jesus Wearing A Foil Crown
A statue of Jesus in a small area at the rear of the cathedral stood in a brass enclosure wearing a silver crown.

A Dome Overhead
Looking up at one of the domes overhead, one can see the clever way that they allow in only indirect light.

Candles And Old Wax On Old Bronze
A bronze platform lettered in Latin was used to hold candles. Many candles had burned there over time, leaving behind melted wax.
