The Canoe Trip, Among Mangroves Of Colombia
|
One Standing Man With Pole
The canoes were small dug-outs that could only carry four passengers. A man stood on the back of each boat and propelled it using a long pole.

Dock Designed For Tourist Safety
The small dock was designed for tourist safety. Each canoe barely fit, so that men could stand on either side to help tourists board and later to get safely off.

The Canoes Were Rustic
The canoes were rustic (or authentic) and leaked. Our canoe hardly leaked, but another had to be sponged out twice during the tour.

The same man who threw the net, also demonstrated how a crab trap was used in the river. The crabs themselves were small and gray.
