For Sale On Stems
Brussels sprouts were for sale still attached to their long stems. This allowed them to continue to ripen on the shelf inside the store.

Individual Sprouts
The individual Brussels sprouts were buds growing on a tall white stalk. Before cooking, each would have to be cut off the stem and its outer leaves discarded.

Vertical Stalks
The stalks of Brussels sprouts as they would look growing vertically. This was achieved by turning the camera on its side. Notice that a few Brussels sprouts have been cut open.
