![]() An outside fruit stand was open that luchtime and offered bananas, mangos, apples, limes and avocados. The avacados appeared sadly understated next to much brighter fruit, but retained it deliciously elegant dark appearance.

![]() A part of what was grown in the community gardens alongside the Fair Stairway was an avacado tree. Here, one avacado had fallen off the tree and rested on the sidewalk halfway up the stairs. It had broken upon impact and had already begun to spoil.
