Buena Vista Elementary School
Three kids wearing hats upon which were clocks that read the time as K8 carried the banner for the Buena Vista Elementary School .

Mixtiso
The sign for Mixtiso, Latin Hip Hop, Artistic Director: Vanessa Mosquida was tall and not very wide so just two people carried it. Here just the one fellow was visible.

Sambasia, San Francisco
Four teens carried the sign for Sambasia of San Francisco. Hung like a curtain from a stiff aluminum bar, the sign appeared easy to carry.

Samba do Coração
A regal looking couple carried the sign that was really a flag for the Samba do Coração group.

SGI-USA
Three people carried a rather awkwardly designed sign. The three handles were independent so failed to keep the sign rigid, and the sign was too tall which caused arms to tire from holding it at an bad angle.

Adriana Sanchez Colombian Soul
The sign for Adriana Sanchez Colombian Soul was rigged as if a flag with a pole at each end. The advantage to this design was that the sign could be rested on the ground when the parade paused.

Aquarela
Four kids carried a sign that had now rigid support and which was simply bordered by fabric with the typical lack of attention one might expect from those so young.

Rhythm & Motion
Two young women carried the sign for Rhythm & Motion and ODC using a stiff rod from which the sign was suspended. Notice that the rod extended past the top to create handy handles.

Fogo Na Roupa
Three young women carried the banner for Fogo Na Roupa . The theme was African, hence the African look. Note the generous rod at the top of the sign.

Reggae Gold United
Two young women carried a fully framed sign. The rigidity of the sign allowed it to be rested on the ground, as here, when the parade paused.

A wide sign carried by three highly costumed people introduced Samba Funk Carnival Explosion w/King Theo.

Hot Pink Feathers
Two men dressed as sex objects carried the sign for "Live Your Fantasy" with Hot Pink Feathers . This sign featured a rigid pole at the top that was covered in hot pink fuzzy fabric. The poll did extend past the ends which made it easier to carry.

Groupo, Todo Mundo
The short group name of Groupo resulted in a modestly small sign. Because it was small and light, these two women could carry it with flair.
