A man in line showed his wristband. One was required to present valid ID in order to get a wrist band. One could only buy beer, wine, or liquor if one wore one.

Those behind the counter did a brisk business selling liquor that afternoon. As you can see from the display of bottles, many mixed drinks were available, as well as beer on tap, and bottles of red and white wines.

As the afternoon wore on, the lines to buy liquor grew longer and longer. Here one thirsty fellow waited patiently for his next drink.

One fellow braved the long liquor lines by carrying his almost empty beer glass. Perhaps he assumed he would finish his beer just as he reached the front of the line.
