A large chameleon was created as a mechanical statue. Humans gathered around it and made it appear to move by working peddles and levers.

Man Reached
A man reached up inside the sculpture to locate the lever that would operate the Cyclameleon's mouth. Children and adults gathered to admire the sculpture and to puzzle out how it worked.

Back Feet
Two kids operated handheld cranks to make the feet of the Cyclameleon appear to stride forward. The cranks were easy to rotate and the kids operated them effortlessly.
