The teeter-totter painted blue, white and red illustrated that parallel lines could be found almost anywhere. Here were three parallel lines that were only parallel because they had been left all with the left-hand side up.

Lines Over Water

What appeared to be two electric cables passed over the river before the falls. The wires appeared to be degrading over time. But they must have been parallel, because if they were not, they would have shorted out.

Lines Meet In Distance

One of the effects of parallel lines is the way they appear to meet as they move off into the distance. If you were to walk this double yellow line to its end, you would find it actually did not meet.
