The title of the mural was printed on a ribbon. It read, "La Flor de la Vida, In Loving Memory of Marsha Pannone."

The left end of the ribbon contained the phrase, "Rest In Peace," and listed many names.

The woman's face was painted in black and white, and set against a colorful background with two blue butterflies.

The monkey faced out at the viewer. To its right was a pink flower, and to its left was colorfully woven hair.

The cat's face was low on the mural and gripped a gold ribbon in its mouth. It too gazed out at the viewer.
