The artist's signature was near the bottom left of the mural. It read, "Sidney Waerts."

The mural occupied the entire wall that faced a parking lot. Fortunately, there were no cars parked this day.

The rightmost end of the mural depicted what appeared to be the remains of a bridge that had collapsed in the distant past.

Birds were painted as if flying away from the wrecked bridge and about to land on a bamboo pole.

Another bird was drawn in mid flight but somehow obscured by fog or mist or pollution.

A child held a bamboo pole at the end of which was a net perhaps containing a fish. The child wore a brimmed hat to protect from a too bright sun.

The child's face was in shadow. Curly hair was the only part of the face in light.

Water dripped from the bottom of the net held by the child.
