Tall Spike
The sculpture had a circular base with one long spike poking up at the sky. The sculpture was set on a balcony of City Hall.

The Sign
The sign identifying the sculpture was a bronze plaque embedded in the floor of the balcony. It read: "Explanation Point"

Yellow Slotted
The spike emerged from an aluminum ball half cut open, and a slotted yellow base. The sculpture itself was embedded in the floor of the balcony.

Weathering
The cut open aluminum ball showed signs of weathering.

Bottom Of The Spike
The bottom of the spike was cut off at an angle and silvered to become a mirror. Unfortunately the mirror was beginning to flake off.

From The Side
When viewed from the side, the ball of the sculpture resembled the helmet of Marvin The Martian .
