A bronze sign embedded in the dirt underneath the sculpture identified it. In part, this sculpture was, "Dedicated to the People of Davis."

Tall Rods
The sculpture was formed by nine long rods reaching for the sky. In daylight they appeared worn. But at night they glowed in pastel colors.

The Base
The base of the sculpture was formed from concrete blocks set in the dirt. The sculpture was mounted to a few of the blocks. The rest of the blocks remained unused.

A Cube
The center of the sculpture was partly hidden by leaves. It was a metal cube mounted to and floating above the ground. A few of the vertical rods were mounted to this cube. The other vertical rods were directly mounted to the concrete blocks on the ground.

Through The Tree
Vertical rods rose through the tree. They were almost invisible except for the fact they were straight lines through leaves.

Closer Cube
A closer view of the cube in which its welds were more visible. The vertical rods, as seen here, appeared to be covered either in solar cells, or reflective tape.

Trees
A view of the central cube showing how trees have grown over the years to wind throughout the sculpture. One could see fruit beginning to form on the trees.
