Second Sign
A new sign erected by Natsoulas Studio identified the mural. It read: Kerry Rowland-Avrech and the The original sign was by the Davis Art Tour, but that sign had been removed, leaving an ugly hole. The new sign, the second sign, replaced the first.

Fake Storm Drains
The "Splash" mural depicted three storm drains in the wall of a building. Those fake drains spilled colored paint on the silhouette of people painting.

One Color
The people, depicted in the "Splash" mural by Kerry Rowland-Avrech, each painted one color while their bodies were stained a second color by the spilled paint.

Cool Painters
The leftmost people depicted in the "Splash" mural by Kerry Rowland-Avrech were stained cool colors. They were defaced by blue, green, and purple paints.

The signature of artist Kerry Rowland-Avrech was painted using blue paint amid the spilled orange paint. It read, "Kerry Rowland-Avrech 2012."

Warm People
The people, depicted on the right-hand side of the "Splash" by Kerry Rowland-Avrech, were stained in warm tones. They were painted in yellow, orange, and red colors.

Two Pipes
The rightmost two of three storm drains were painted at the top of the mural. They spilled paint that was shaded to appear three-dimensional. That shading caused the paint to appear to float away from the surface of the wall.

White Highlights
A closer view of the leftmost pipe revealed white highlights that formed the edge of the liquid falling out of the pipes. That same white highlight gave the falling paint the appearance of ripples.

Rainbow Curtain
