It's Own Fog
The bridge generated its own fog, no matter how clear and sunny the day. Most of the fog rose to engulf the bridge, while some of the fog settled down onto the bay water.

Shot From Jets

The Sign
A sign near the bridge described how it was created: "A microscopic pin in each nozzle atomizes the water into billions of ultra-fine fog droplets."

Drama
The Fog Bridge created a drama that harkened back to San Francisco's pre-industrial days, when a sea fog would engulf the entire city in a pea-soup thick fog.
