|
Sculpture In Context
This sculpture was located at the eastern side of the park. As a fountain it was spread over a circular area almost 20 feet (6 meters) across.

The Sign
This sign describing this sculpture was on top of one of the stones surrounding it. The sign read: Fountain of "Four Seasons"

The Bases
Each of the four sculptures was bedded in a group of four stones, and each represented a season. Water was pumped up through each sculpture to fall and splash around these groupings of stones.

Arrangement Of Stones
The arrangement of stones around one of the four sculpture fountains. Notice the resemblance to a flagstone path.

Detail Of Upright
Detail of one of the upright sculptures. Notice the bolts used to assemble it. The green appeared much less textured and darker from a distance. Water is cascading down the sculpture (unfortunately caught using a slow shutter).

Detail Of Water
Water splashing and fallen leaves gave the water under the fountain a lovely texture and color.

Sculpture With Heart And Dog Behind
Here was another view of this sculpture in context. Behind it was the "Big Heart On The Rock" sculpture by Jim Dine, as well as a young man with a dog.
